It has been a year since we had our windows installed. I have been through all processes- bidding, installation, and follow up servicing for defects. Ray E. is honest and professional. Our original estimate was about half of a competitor. He took the time to configure options to help us get the best value. The installers were considered the be ‘ the best’ in my opinion. Later we noticed scratches that were a manufacturing defect. Ray promptly replaced them. We have recommended them to friends who are totally happy. We will be using universal Direct and Ray in the future.

We had all of our windows and an extremely large sliding glass door replaced in our townhome about a month ago. They arrived to the project when they said they would, and they were finished when they said they would be done! Ray Ewing and his Crew of Professionals came in and replaced our nine windows in a day and 1/2. they were very professional and courteous, and even cleaned up after themselves. One installer accidently broke our inside window seal ledge and went to Home Depot purchased the material and replaced the ledge at no cost to us. These guys are great and really know what they are doing. I can’t say enough good things about Ray Ewing and his Crew. * * * * * 5 Stars all the way.

We are very happy with our windows from Universal Direct. Ray is fabulous to work with, the prices are good (providing windows a step up in quality and they still came in lower than the three other quotes we received), and the installations were smooth! They have now done full window replacements for two rental properties for me and both were older homes with some challenging window situations! So I have to make sure you guys know, I have had a great experience with Universal Windows. Ray has been our go to guy. Super sweet, patient and understanding and great to work with. Very thorough and fully knowledgeable about windows and represents the company well. AS WELL AS the guys who come and do the work. Mike and his crew did a great job. We were only able to get half our windows done but we WILL be excited to finish the rest over time.
Btw, my most favorite and anticipated thing that was installed that I am the most excited and happy about, is our french back doors. They are GrrrrrrrrEAT! LOVE the blinds within the windows.

After searching for 2 years to find a window company that wasn’t trying to rob me, never return calls, disappearing, etc. I found Universal Windows. I’d had no less than 12 quotes and Universal was my last one before losing all hope that I’d have new windows one day. During the pandemic, Ray showed up, wearing his PPE, professional, and on time! Needless to say, he and his company far exceeded my expectations. Installation was done in the very timely manner. The men installing the windows worked throughout wind, rain, and completed the entire house within a few hours. Is my first time buying windows and I’m glad I came across Universal Windows headed by Ray Ewing in Jacksonville, Fl. It was a great experience from start to finish. The demonstration of the product was top notch. Ray is highly knowledgeable and passionate about his windows. The installation was flawless by a very experienced and polite crew. The overall customer experience has been great and detail oriented. One of the windows came with a small scratch on a pane that other companies may have dismissed, but Ray was quick in not having the scratch fixed but rather requesting for the entire insulated glass unit to be replaced. Ray was very accessible and accommodating. He even answered e-mails at 10:30 at night because I work the late shift. I will not hesitate in placing future orders.

Our experience with Universal Windows was phenomenal. First, start to finish it was an extremely professional and an enjoyable experience. Second, because buying a new door as well as installation is for most of us a new, daunting and expensive experience it is super important to have someone knowledgeable as well as willing to accommodate budget and wishes. For me Universal Windows Direct accomplished all of that and some. Not only was Ray Ewing and his staff willing to really listen to what we really wanted and not sell us anything we didn’t want but his installers Will Hathaway and Tom Christopher even installed on the weekend to accommodate our busy schedules.
